ICS Security Summit & Training 2020

The 2020 ICS Security Summit will help you get a clear vision of your ICS security. We're looking for talks that are either:

  • Nearsighted: focused on current ICS cybersecurity issues ; specific examples and/or demos of successful mitigations

or

  • Farsighted: focused on emerging ICS threats; strategizes for anticipating and defending against the next generation of threats

Proposed presentations should be case studies based on real-world experiences, lessons learned, and best practices, and should give attendees actionable advice they can implement immediately upon returning to their organizations. Presenters are encouraged to bring unique perspectives or unconventional approaches.

You might want to review videos of a sampling of talks from previous years' Summits to give you an idea of the style and content we're looking for.

Benefits of Presenting at the Summit

  • Promotion of your speaking session and company recognition via the ICS Security Summit website and all printed materials
  • Complimentary admission to attend all Summit sessions and networking functions
  • Complimentary guest pass to the Summit Speaker networking luncheons
  • NB: Speakers may also be recorded and made available via the internet to a wider audience (at the discretion of SANS).

All content must be strictly educational. Sessions are generally 30 minutes of content + 5 minutes of Q&A,


Who Should Submit


Diversity of thought is critical for successful intelligence analysis, and SANS Summits welcomes and encourages participation by everyone regardless of age, gender, culture, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identification. Whatever your background, whoever you are, we encourage you to respond to the CFP. We provide mentoring to all speakers and welcome people who are newer to the field or who have not yet done any public speaking.

All speakers receive complimentary registration for the Summit for themselves and a guest. A continental breakfast and buffet lunch are included.

SANS does not cover travel expenses for speakers. However, we offer a limited number of need-based stipends for travel.
