In March of 2019, my co-author Mike Murr and I took over as the authors of SANS SEC504. We sat down and made a list of goals to achieve with future updates: 40% or more hands-on time every day, a new CTF, a practical focus on incident response techniques, integration of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, a new platform for exciting lab challenges, new coverage of modern attack tools that we see in the real world, deep-dives into low-cost and highvalue defense techniques, and a renewed focus on helping students commit what they learn to long-term memory. It took 16 months to get here, and we're thrilled to debut What's New in SEC504. Join us as we take a look at the new vision for SANS SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling while we give away some fun labs and new content for free in this webcast. - Joshua Wright
