There's a lot going on in the world of digital forensics and incident response. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with new techniques, tools, resources, events, etc. David Cowen, a co-author of Hacking Exposed Computer Forensics 2nd Ed and SANS contributor, has been conducting weekly video interviews with members of the DFIR community.
You can join these "forensic lunch" discussions live every Friday at 1pm EST (19:00 GMT) at David's YouTube channel or via his Google Event Hangouts page. The YouTube page also lets you view archives of the previously-recorded sessions (check them out). The Google page lets you participate in the live discussion via chat.
For instance, here are some of the discussions scheduled for February, 2014:
Feb 14, 2014: Guests: Zoltan Szabo and David Cate. Google Event Page, YouTube Page
Feb 21, 2014: Guests: Lenny Zeltser and Jon Stewart. Google Event Page, YouTube Page
Feb 28, 2014: Guests: Jack Crook and Mark Spencer. Google Event Page, YouTube Page
Whether watching during lunch or after dinner, tune in to meet some of the DFIR practitioners, learn forensics and catch up on the latest industry happenings.
