Derek Harp is currently the business operations lead for the Industrial Control System (ICS) programs at SANS. He has served as a founder, CEO and advisor of early-stage companies for the last 16 years, with a focus on cybersecurity. Derek is also a co-founder and a board member of NexDefense, Inc., a company focused on the security technology needs of ICS asset owners. Previously, he was the CEO and co-founder of LogiKeep, Inc., where he was the co-inventor of Intellishield™, a pioneer IT security product that was subsequently acquired.
Adam Meyer has served in leadership positions in the defense, technology, and critical infrastructure sectors for more than 15 years, and leads the threat intelligence analyst team at SurfWatch Labs. Prior to joining SurfWatch Labs, Mr. Meyer was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, one of the largest public transportation systems in the United States. Preceding his role as a CISO, Mr. Meyer served as the Director of Information Assurance and Command IA Program Manager for the Naval Air Warfare Center, Naval Air Systems Command one of the Navy's premier engineering and acquisition commands.
Ted Gary is the product marketing manager for the Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS) at Tenable Network Security, responsible for translating PVS’s rich feature set into solutions for the compelling problems faced by information security professionals. Ted has nearly ten years of experience in information security in both product management and product marketing roles. As a senior product manager for security solutions at a telecommunications company, he defined SaaS security services, including cloud-based next-generation firewalls and related managed services. Ted also defined requirements for and marketed file integrity management and configuration assessment products for a software vendor.
