Overview

Do you have a desire to use your Open Source Intelligence Skills (OSINT) skills for good? Would you like to improve your OSINT skills? If so, you need to find out where you can use your skills and what role you can play to help solve real world problems. Jeff Lomas is a sworn law enforcement (LE) detective, cyber investigator, and instructor for SANS SEC487: OSINT Gathering and Analysis. He will discuss how the challenges of trust, an accepted crowdsourced OSINT platform, and scant resources are being addressed with unorthodox solutions.

Jeff will examine current models being used to share information between LE and the private sector, discuss the dos and donts for both sides, and review recent accomplishments OSINTers have had using their skills for good. No matter what your skill level or experience, come find out how you can increase your OSINT skills, join the OSINT community, and provide a valuable service to your community!
