In this special interactive session you will play to win the Cyber42: CISO For A Day Simulation! In this 90 minute game day you will play as part of a team to improve the state of a fictional organization and more effectively build and lead your security program. During the game, as adapted for the topics in MGT514: Security Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership, you will see that the actions you choose can have uncertain outcomes and even unintended consequences! This interactive simulation puts you in real-world scenarios that spur discussion, critical thinking of situations, and melding of different points of view and personalities that you likely will encounter at work.

Step into the role of CISO and experience what its like to be responsible for security budgets, programs, and outcomes. In this simulation you will be faced with how to best implement strategic security initiatives that align security with the goals of the organization. You will experience what its like to lead security teams, manage expectations, implement technical and administrative controls to enable the organization to conduct business securely.

Winning the game is simple. Your team needs to have the highest score, which represents how well your team has adapted and implemented your security program. Its not just about implementing security controls, its about changing behaviors and culture to create lasting improvements.

The Cyber42 game was originally developed for MGT512: Security Leadership Essentials for Managers class and has been adapted for MGT514. The Cyber42 Leadership Simulation game, as used in MGT512, is described in more detail here. The gameboard has been tailored for MGT514, and will be launched at this event.

This event is interactive and requires both Zoom and Slack to participate. Individual attendees will be assigned to a team as they log into the session. There is no ability to create a team ahead of the event, nor guarantee two individual attendees will be assigned to the same team once in the session. This event will be capped at 100 people. **Since this is a team-based game, and capped at 100 people, please do not register for the event unless you can commit to staying and participating for the full 90 minutes in order to ensure fairness among teams. Thank you.**
