In May, June, and July 2021, MIT Technology Review Insights, in association with Palo Alto Networks, surveyed senior executives with technology decision-making responsibilities across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. The research seeks to understand what organizations across the globe are doing to understand and counter cyberthreats.

With 69% of all organizations surveyed in the research having either experienced an attack on an unknown, unmanaged, or poorly managed asset, or expect to be attacked, attack surface management (ASM) is becoming a key pillar in security operations.
