Matthew enjoys building, transforming and leading technology and security programmes. He’s done this in a diverse range of environments, from startups to multinational corporations, in sectors as diverse as fintech, healthtech, ecommerce, manufacturing, regulation and investment banking.
His CV includes CISO at 3i Group (FTSE 100), Kinnevik (Nasdaq Nordic), Monese (Europe’s fourth largest fintech bank) and right now he’s leading the charge at 118 118 Money as it seeks to grow its iconic brand in the UK consumer lending space.
His spell at a UK regulator saw him leading investigations into major security breaches at multinational UK based PLCs, in addition to working with the European Network and Information Security Agency on pan-European security initiatives.
In short, he’s presented in FTSE 100 board rooms and he’s sat on server room floors. He’s also a Chartered Engineer and the co-author of several legally mandated UK and European security standards.
