Brock Bell

Brock Bell, an expert in digital forensics and cyber investigations, is a director in Unit 42’s Austin office, from where he leads incident response engagements for the firm’s clients.

He joined the team in 2018 after serving for two years at Altep Inc – which was acquired while he was there by Consilio, a global eDiscovery and risk management company. At Altep, he served as a data forensics examiner and information security responder. In those positions, he worked with clients and legal counsel on incident response matters, identifying, collecting, and analyzing key data sources. He worked with a number of government agencies in joint collection and analysis, and he supported computer investigations and electronic discovery requests for corporate clients. Brock began his professional career as an information security analyst at Keller Logistics Group. He received his bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensic Science from Defiance College in Ohio, where he minored in Criminal Justice.

He holds a number of certifications related to cyber investigations, including GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), and Digital Forensics Certified Associate (DFCA). Brock is also a member of the Digital Forensics Certification Board (DFCB).
