As we return to In-Person training, we understand that the local COVID-19 situations will change. It is of the utmost importance to SANS that our customers and instructors can train in a safe environment and so it is possible that we may have to adjust In-Person training. In order to ensure that you purchase your training with peace of mind SANS introduced the Training Guarantee in 2020.
This SANS Training Guarantee allows the following options for those who have purchased In-Person training and would like to adjust their training to accommodate changing COVID-19 situations. Students can:
- Transfer an In-Person course purchase to an online format: OnDemand, or Live Online
- Take their course at another SANS In-Person or Live Online training event (associated GIAC Certification exam purchases will then also be rescheduled to align with your training)
- Receive a credit memo to apply towards training within the next 12 months

Q: Should I delay my purchase of a SANS training course?
A: The SANS Training Guarantee keeps you completely covered if you are unable to attend training for any reason. With the flexibility to switch to a different In-Person event or switch to OnDemand or Live Online, our Training Guarantee ensures that there is no financial risk to your purchase.
Q: Can I take SANS training online?
A: Yes, more than 45 of SANS' most popular courses are available online, via our OnDemand platform and almost our entire catalog is available Live Online. These platforms both feature SANS expert instructors, custom course content, hands-on labs, e-learning tools, subject-matter expert support, and archived lectures with unlimited course access for four-to-six months.

Q: Is SANS implementing safety precautions at live training events?
A: Yes. We are following all local regulations and working with venue locations to make sure training is safe.
Q: If SANS decides to cancel an event, what happens to my course registration?
A: Should an event or course be cancelled by SANS, you have the following options:
- Transfer an In-Person course purchase to an online format: OnDemand, or Live Online
- Take their course at another SANS In-Person or Live Online training event (associated GIAC Certification exam purchases will then also be rescheduled to align with your training)
- Receive a credit memo to apply towards training within the next 12 months

Q: If I purchased an associated GIAC Certification exam attempt with my course and that course is cancelled, what are my options?
A: If you purchased a GIAC Certification exam with a course that has been cancelled or rescheduled, your GIAC exam access and scheduling will remain aligned with your course. So:
- If you choose to delay your course, your GIAC Certification access and exam will also be delayed
- If you choose to take your course online, your GIAC Certification access and exam will align with your online course access
- If you choose to receive a credit memo for future training in the next 12 months for your course, your GIAC Certification will also be included in the change
