SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training and certifications, has announced that registration is open for its training event, SANS Cyber Defence Singapore 2019. Taking place 8-20 July, this event will feature eight courses for information security professionals. In addition to its foundational courses, SANS will feature intermediate and advanced courses in Incident Handling and Penetration testing, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Reverse-Engineering Malware and Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Protection.

“The relentless and increasing severity of cyber-attacks in Singapore’s healthcare and other sectors underscores the urgent need for Cyber Security professionals to develop a solid foundation of hands-on Incident Response capabilities and specialized skills in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Malware Analysis  and Penetration Testing to protect Singapore’s CII from the next wave of attacks from sophisticated adversaries,” said Suresh Mustapha, SANS Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region. “SANS Cyber Defence Singapore 2019 provides professionals on the front lines of cyber security the unique opportunity to train with some of the world’s top practitioners. Our course line-up features a carefully selected range of our most advanced and sought-after programs that are a must for serious Cyber Security professionals.

SANS Cyber Defence Singapore 2019 features three courses not regularly offered in the Asia Pacific region: SEC760: Advanced Exploit Development for Penetration Testers, SEC573: Automating Information Security with Python and ICS515: ICS Active Defense and Incident Response. SEC760 has been developed for highly-seasoned Penetration Testers. SEC573 teaches students how to create programs that make their jobs easier and work more efficient. Finally, ICS515 helps to deconstruct ICS cyber-attacks, leverage an active defense to identify and counter threats in an ICS, and use incident response procedures to maintain the safety and reliability of operations.
