SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced the agenda for SANS Las Vegas 2019 (#SANSLasVegas) taking place January 28 - February 2 in Nevada. The event features hands-on immersion style course for security professionals at every level. For those looking to enter into a career in cyber security, SANS will offer its popular SEC301: Introduction to Cyber Security course.

"Always dreamed of a job in cyber security? There's no better time to start training for your dream job than the New Year," says
SANS SEC301: Introduction to Cyber Security course instructor, Doc Blackburn (@DocBlackburn). "With the need for qualified and knowledgeable cyber security professionals growing every day, now is the time to commit to getting the best training and earn your GISF (GIAC Information Security Fundamentals) certification. Join me in my favorite city, Las Vegas, and I will teach you the concepts in cyber security to help kick start your career."

In addition to teaching the SEC301: Introduction to Cyber Security course, Blackburn will give an evening talk entitled Danger Stewards - Measuring Risk and Predicting the Future for Fun and Profit. This talk will detail what InfoSec professionals must do to convince the decision makers in their business to support security initiatives.

SANS Las Vegas 2019 features courses covering a variety of topics including cyber defense, ethical hacking, penetration testing, security management, secure DevOps, and ICS security. Included among the course offerings are two new courses SEC460: Enterprise Threat and Vulnerability Assessment and SEC530: Defensible Security Architecture.
