SANS Announces the Keynote Address for Orlando Security Training Event

Cyber Security Expert Eric Conrad will Tackle Threat Hunting in a Windows Environment

  • Bethesda, MD
  • February 6, 2018

SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced the keynote address for one of its biggest training events of the year, SANS 2018, taking place in Orlando, Florida April 3 - 10. SANS Senior Instructor, Eric Conrad, will deliver the keynote address Threat Hunting via Windows Event Logs. Conrad will also teach the MGT414: SANS Training Program for CISSP® Certification course.

According to Eric Conrad (@eric_conrad), "A recent wave of ransomware called Petya, fueled by exploits allegedly leaked from an intelligence agency, cost one shipping company $300 million dollars. Once in, it can move laterally via stolen credentials, just like penetration testers do. Join me in Orlando where I will show you how to detect attacks like this, as well as other advanced attacks, using native Windows logging."

SANS 2018 in Orlando offers more than 45 Courses, numerous evening discussions, and multiple NetWars challenges. Hands-on immersion style training courses for security professionals at every level. Courses offered in cyber defense, digital forensics and incident response, pen testing, secure development, audit, legal and security management. Included among the security management courses is MGT414: SANS Training Program for CISSP® Certification taught by Conrad, which is an accelerated review course specifically designed to prepare students to successfully pass the CISSP® exam.
