SANS to Kick off the New Year in New Orleans with Security East 2018 Training Event

Will Offer Incident Response and Forensics, Security, Management and Developer Courses

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced SANS Security East 2018 taking place January 8 - 13 in New Orleans, LA. SANS Security East 2018 will feature hands-on immersion style training courses taught by some of the industry's most influential cyber security experts. Included among the course line-up are FOR508: Advanced Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting, FOR578: Cyber Threat Intelligence, and FOR610: Reverse-Engineering Malware: Malware Analysis Tools and Techniques.

According to Rob Lee (@robtlee), the curriculum lead and an author for digital forensic and incident response training at SANS and a SANS Faculty Fellow, "Security East is an excellent way to start the new year and always my favorite city to visit, New Orleans. All recently updated, the latest DFIR classes will help evolve your threat hunting and incident response skills to a new level. I am very excited to see the new additions to all of these courses and how they help security professionals deal with intrusions and data breach incidents."

SANS Security East 2018 features more than 20 training courses for security professionals at every level. Those new to security will benefit from the SEC301: Intro to Information Security and SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style courses. For seasoned professionals looking to advance their career, SANS will offer a number of security management courses including MGT414: SANS Training Program for CISSP® Certification, MGT512: SANS Security Leadership Essentials for Managers with Knowledge Compression™, and MGT514: IT Security Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership. The event will also feature two types of NetWars, SANS Core NetWars Experience and the Cyber Defense NetWars Tournament.
