Security Expert Jake Williams to Keynote SANS San Francisco Security Training Event

Event Offers Hands-On Immersion Style Training and Bonus Evening Discussions

  • Bethesda, MD
  • April 13, 2017

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced Jake Williams will deliver the keynote address at the SANS San Francisco Summer 2017 security training event taking place June 5 - 10. Jake Williams (aka @MalwareJake), Founder of Rendition Security and a SANS Instructor and course author will speak about common security operations mistakes and how to avoid them.

According to Jake Williams, "Because many InfoSec professionals are not formally trained in intelligence analysis, cyber threat intelligence gained during daily operations is often used incorrectly. When this happens, we jeopardize the success of our security operations. Join me at SANS San Francisco where I will share insight into common mistakes and how to better use cyber threat intelligence for more effective security operations and incident response."

SANS San Francisco Summer 2017 will feature hands-on information security courses for security professionals at every level. Attendees can choose from entry-level courses including SEC301: Intro to Information Security and SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style. More seasoned professionals will benefit from courses like SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling, FOR578: Cyber Threat Intelligence taught by Jake Williams, and MGT514: IT Security Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership. Bonus evening discussions will round out the agenda.
