Cyber Defense Initiative ® 2013 is powered by NetWars - Tournament Play, a Cyber Range Competition, and Includes Second Annual Tournament of Champions!

  • Bethesda, MD
  • October 23, 2013

To help meet the needs of the cyber security community to defend against the latest cyber-attacks, SANS will host more than 25 courses at Cyber Defense Initiative ® (CDI), December 12 - 19 in Washington, DC. SANS specialized IT security courses will cover the latest cyber-attacks, how they work, and what works to stop them.

SANS CDI 2013 features NetWars - Tournament Play, a hands-on interactive learning environment that enables security professionals to develop and master the skills they need to excel in their field. The NetWars competition will be played in the evenings, December 15-16 and is available FREE to CDI attendees taking a five or six day class, while seats last.

The GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB) certification that is associated with the SEC575: Mobile Device Security and Ethical Hacking course is now available. The new GMOB certification ensures that your security professionals know, and can mitigate, the risks to your environment presented by mobile devices. The SEC575 course taught by SANS Certified Instructor Christopher Crowley now has enhanced coverage of Blackberry 10, Apple IOS, and Android devices. "With the mad rush towards mobile device adoption at the point of sale and industry regulations and laws struggling to keep up, thank goodness SANS helps companies maintain secure operations, " stated Dean Altman with Discount Tire, a recent SANS training event attendee.

SANS CDI 2013 will feature GIAC approved training taught by some of today's top practitioners in IT security. For a complete list of courses and course overviews, including associated GIAC certifications and to register, please visit:
