  • Brisbane, AU
  • 2 April, 2013

SANS, along with their Australian training partner, Shearwater Solutions, today announced that two of SANS' core courses in information security and penetration testing will be taught at SANS Brisbane 2013. Scheduled for 13 - 18 May, students will receive top-rated training from Security Essentials Bootcamp Style and Web App Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking.

Dr. Eric Cole, information security expert and author of SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style, states "With the latest version of Security Essentials and the Bootcamp, we have really captured the critical aspects of security and enhanced those topics with examples to drive home the key points. After attending Security 401, I am confident you will walk away with solutions to problems you have had for a while plus solutions to problems you did not even know you had."

Kevin Johnson, penetration testing expert and author of SEC542: Web App Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, adds "This course provides a deep understanding of how Web Applications work and what attack vectors are available. Students will perform real-world exercises and in-depth exploration of Web penetration testing."

SANS Brisbane 2013 will feature hands-on training with SANS Certified instructors Mark Hofman and Pieter Danhieux. Both courses are associated with a GIAC Certification. GIAC Certification holders possess comprehensive network security skills to protect critical IT infrastructure.
