SANS Atlanta Cybersecurity Training will Detail the Most Effective Steps to Prevent Against Attacks

A Discussion on CISSP® Certification will Cover what Test Takers Need to Know

  • Bethesda, MD
  • January 28, 2016

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced SANS Atlanta 2016 taking place April 4 - 9. This hands-on immersion style security training event will provide tips and techniques to deal with some of today's most complex cybersecurity issues including intrusion detection, network penetration testing, ethical hacking, windows forensic analysis, and continuous monitoring.

According to SANS Atlanta keynote speaker, Bryan Simon, "Nearly every organization will fall victim to a breach. The impact of a breach will vary greatly depending on how long the initial compromise goes undetected. For companies that treat security monitoring as a quarterly auditing process rather than a continuous process, the damage will likely be more significant. Join me at SANS Atlanta where I will share how to move an organization to a more defensible security architecture that enables continuous security monitoring for faster intrusion detection and response."

In 2015 a new set of exam objectives for the CISSP® certification exam were introduced. During a bonus evening discussion, security professionals interested in the CISSP® certification will learn about what's new and the benefits of certification from a career perspective. An accelerated review course, SANS MGT414: SANS Training Program for CISSP® Certification, will also be offered. This course has been specifically updated to prepare students to pass the 2015 version of the CISSP® exam.

SANS Atlanta will feature security training courses for professionals at every level, from security essentials to. All courses at SANS Atlanta 2016 are associated with a GIAC Certification. For a complete list of courses, or to register, please visit:
