Zero-downtime deployments are essential in cloud native environments, where continuous service availability is expected. This allows updates, patches, and features to be released without service interruption. Beyond user satisfaction, zero-downtime is critical for closing vulnerability windows. Kubernetes, the standard for container orchestration, offers built-in advanced capabilities supporting both canary and blue/green deployments.
Join SANS Instructor Dakota Riley for Part 5 of the AI-Driven DevSecOps series. In this webcast, Dakota will install and configure a Kubernetes AI assistant called *kubectl-ai* to help manage Kubernetes clusters and resources. Using the Kubernetes AI assistant, Dakota will identify a service that needs to be patched. Live demonstrations will show how to upgrade the service using Kubernetes native deployments, blue/green labels, and HTTP route weighting. Attendees will walk away understanding the various Kubernetes deployment options and how to use them to deploy security patches faster.
This webcast supports content and knowledge from SEC540: Cloud Native Security and DevSecOps Automation. To learn more about this course and explore upcoming sessions, Click Here.
