Traditional merge and pull request reviews rely entirely on manual peer and security reviewers to examine every line of code for bugs, security issues, and compliance with coding standards. While effective, this method is tedious and highly dependent on the expertise of individual reviewers, creating bottlenecks in the development lifecycle especially as teams adopt AI-assisted coding tools.
Join SANS Certified Instructor Jon Zeolla for Part 3 of the AI-Driven DevSecOps series. In this webcast, Jon will cover how modern version control systems, such as GitHub and GitLab, integrate with agentic AI code review services through webhooks and APIs, as well as how local AI review agents can analyze code before it is ever committed or submitted for review. As pull requests are opened, a review agent is automatically triggered, while local agents can provide feedback earlier in the development process. Live demonstrations will show how the AI system analyzes proposed changes in context and sends structured findings directly back to the request interface. Attendees will walk away understanding how agentic AI-assisted review helps free human reviewers to focus on critical architectural decisions and complex logic, while automated systems provide scalable, consistent analysis.
