About Dakota Riley

Dakota Riley is a Staff Security Engineer at LiveRamp and a SANS Instructor Candidate for SEC540: Cloud Native Security and DevSecOps Automation. A self-described "security builder," Dakota enjoys pushing the limits of modern tooling to identify risks, automate security tasks, and design systems with security in mind from the start.

He has experience across public and private sectors, including roles at FAANG companies, large enterprises, and startups. Dakota has served as a consultant, internal stakeholder, and hands-on builder, bringing a well-rounded perspective to security challenges. In his spare time, he’s often working on yet another side project or contributing to open-source security tools.

Outside of work, Dakota lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife and two cats. He enjoys gaming, working out, and hiking.
