Contact UsGroup policy was first introduced with the release of Windows 2000 Server and Active Directory in the year 2000. With the introduction of Windows Server 2003, Microsoft has also released the Group Policy Management Console. The purpose of this paper is to highlight how this tool changes and, in most cases, improves upon the way that Group Policy is managed since the introduction of Windows 2000 and why it is important to security administrators and administrators in general. Additionally, examples will be provided to demonstrate how using this tool will enable to better control security and other related policies.
