"Cool new content" at SANS Forensics Prague

Enhanced Digital Forensics Summit

  • United Kingdom
  • 9th September, 2013

With SANS' only dedicated Digital Forensics training event outside of the US just 30 days away Jess Garcia, SANS Instructor believes the event is set to be a success. "We have so much cool content this year that we have not only extended the Summit to 2 days, we will also be hosting a SANS360 session, a set of super-intense talks, 6 minutes long each, in which the speakers will be challenged to present top of the line useful content in just a few minutes."

The Summit talks will cover many of the top priorities for professionals within digital forensics including IR strategies and tactics, DFIR tools and techniques, dissection of new artifacts, memory analysis, forensics of mobile devices, cloud forensics, malware analysis, virtualization forensics, and many more. Always with the hands-on, practical orientation that is characteristic of all SANS events.

"And of course, attendees will have the opportunity to talk and exchange ideas with some of the guys who are changing the Forensics world we live in. All in the relaxing environment of such a beautiful and lively city as Prague. Last year's Summit was a blast and praised as such by the attendees, but this year it will be even better!"

The weeklong event begins on the 6th of October with the 4rd annual European Digital Forensics and Incident Response Summit (DFIR) followed by four essential SANS classes:

  • FOR408: Computer Forensic Investigations led by Chad Tilbury
  • FOR526: Windows Memory Forensics In-Depth taught by Jess Garcia and Jesse Kornblum.
  • FOR508: Advanced Computer Forensic Analysis and Incident Response with Rob Lee.
  • FOR610: Reverse-Engineering Malware will be taught by Lenny Zeltser

"We will also have SANS@Night talks, with additional topics, content and tricks and a dedicated forensics NetWars tournament free for all training course attendees," says Garcia.
