Brandon McCrillis

Brandon McCrillis is an Independent Business Consultant and U.S. Navy veteran. After a career as an intelligence analyst with the United States Department of Defense and serving as team lead while standing up U.S. Cyber Command's Cyber Mission Forces, Brandon transitioned to private industry. As Chief Executive Officer & Principal Information Security Consultant at the boutique consultancy Rendition Infosec, the organization rose to a become a three-time Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Company in America (2019, 2020, & 2021), as well as an industry renowned leader for Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Offensive Cyber Operations. Following a successful acquisition, Brandon now operates an independent consultancy with a global clientele. Brandon is a seasoned conference speaker as well as an ISACA Author and Black Hat USA Trainer.

A decorated veteran of the United States Navy, Brandon is a former Network Exploitation Operator and U.S. Air Force Civilian Endpoint Analyst with the United States Department of Defense. As Senior Technical Lead for Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) operations while standing up U.S. Cyber Command's Cyber Mission Forces, he fulfilled critical U.S. National Level requirements in support of strategic foreign intelligence goals and cyber objectives; drafting technical guidance for Computer Network Exploitation tools, leading cyber operations, and coordinating reporting of foreign computer exploitation capabilities directed against the United States. While active-duty military, he was one of five certified at Journeyman Operator level; Navy-wide. Through training, mentoring, and supervision he led a team of over 150 multi-disciplined cyber operators, to conduct more than 10,000 cyber operations globally. 

As Chief Executive Officer & Principal Information Security Consultant at the boutique consultancy Rendition Infosec, the organization rose to a become a three-time Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Company in America (2019, 2020, & 2021), as well as an industry renowned leader for Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Offensive Cyber Operations. After successfully exiting Rendition Infosec upon acquisition Brandon now concentrates on entrepreneurship and delivering tailored cybersecurity expertise to discerning clientele and corporations worldwide. 

Brandon’s proven application and in-depth knowledge of tools and policies relating to global Computer Network Exploitation operations, coupled with an abstract operational thinking style allows him to neutralize threats by mimicking one. He also has extensive experience with malware capability research, security software research, and enterprise security product integration. Brandon’s ability to collaborate with organizations to help them better understand business risks and build industry-leading Information Security programs has benefited industries and organizations of all kinds. Brandon holds Executive Leadership and Business Certificates from Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business.
