FastTrack Cybersecurity Training was a transformative training initiative delivered by the SANS Institute in partnership with ReDI School of Digital Integration, Denmark and funded by the Industriens Fond. The program was specifically designed to support and advance women with lived experience of migration and displacement, individuals who remain significantly underrepresented in the cybersecurity industry.
Over the course of this intensive 10-week program, participants gained not only cutting-edge, hands-on skills in cybersecurity but also industry-recognised certifications that are essential to entering and thriving in the field.
This program addressed a critical gap in the cybersecurity workforce by actively including voices and talents that are too often excluded. By equipping participants with both technical expertise and professional networks, the program ensured they were fully prepared to launch impactful careers in cybersecurity-confident, qualified, and ready to hit the ground running.

From certification outcomes and completion rates to career progression and community impact, the report provides a transparent look at how the programme strengthened diversity and capability within Denmark’s cybersecurity workforce.

The Cybersecurity Training Camps operated through two parallel tracks designed to meet participants at different stages of their cybersecurity journey.
The Foundational Track developed core knowledge in IT systems, networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals, enabling participants without prior experience to build strong technical confidence. The Technical Track deepened expertise in areas such as encryption, network defence, vulnerability management, and cloud security, supporting participants with existing aptitude to advance their capabilities.
Learning was structured around applied, hands-on exercises and supported by guided exam preparation, peer collaboration, and access to technical expertise. Career-focused activities and employer engagement complemented the technical training, helping participants translate skills into professional opportunities. This integrated approach strengthened practical competence, increased confidence, and improved readiness to enter the Danish cybersecurity workforce.
