In this 60-minute webcast, we’ll move beyond “what’s new” and show how to operationalize a template in practice. Using the SANS Configuration Management Policy template as our live case study, we’ll apply a six-step workflow to make it governance-ready: Scope & Purpose, roles and decision rights, testable “must” requirements, time-bound exceptions, evidence and metrics, and a sustainable lifecycle/refresh cadence. This session complements “What’s New in the 2026 SANS Cybersecurity Policy Templates” by focusing on implementation rather than update highlights.
Attendees will leave with a repeatable method they can apply across the SANS template library and a practical preview of what LDR514 develops: the ability to build policies that support strategy, enable accountability, and sustain governance over time.
