Security operations centers are facing a new reality. As attackers use AI to automate reconnaissance, accelerate attacks, and scale their operations, defenders need new ways to keep pace. The emerging Agentic SOC combines human expertise with AI-powered agents to improve detection, investigation, threat hunting, and response.
In this webcast, SANS Senior Instructor Dave Shackleford will explore what an Agentic SOC looks like in practice using Google SecOps. Through hands-on demonstrations and real-world scenarios, attendees will see how AI agents can assist with alert triage, threat hunting, malware analysis, detection engineering, and SOC automation—while maintaining human oversight where it matters most.
We'll also discuss emerging concepts such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), coordinated AI workflows, and where autonomous capabilities are likely to have the greatest impact on the future of security operations.
