About Dr. Peter Dornheim

Dr. Peter Dornheim has 20 years of cybersecurity experience across industry leaders like SAP, Festo, and STIHL. Starting in IT infrastructure, he advanced through roles in SAP security and cybersecurity leadership, most recently serving as CISO at STIHL before joining Daimler Truck in 2025 as CISO. Peter holds a PhD from TU Berlin, where he researched cybersecurity culture, with a focus on the human factor. He is dedicated to embedding cyber resilience into organizational culture, blending practical expertise with academic insight and breaking down cybersecurity silos.
