H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti serves as the Head of Cyber Security for the United Arab Emirates Government, a role he has held since H.E's appointment by the UAE Cabinet in 2020. In tH.E's capacity, Dr. Al Kuwaiti leads the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC), where H.E is responsible for shaping and executing the nation's comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the protection and resilience of the UAE's digital infrastructure, and advancing the UAE's vision to become the world's most trusted digital hub.
As part of H.E's mandate, Dr. Al Kuwaiti also serves as Managing Director of the National Data Center under the Supreme Council for National Security, with legal authority over all aspects of securing the nation's cyberspace. H.E has been instrumental in orchestrating cybersecurity efforts across Emirates and federal entities through a unified national platform, leveraging emerging technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence to strengthen the country's cyber defenses.
Under H.E's leadership, the UAE has consistently ranked among the top nations globally, achieving the first tier in the ITU Global Cybersecurity Index 2024. Dr. Al Kuwaiti has spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives that have significantly enhanced the UAE's cyber resilience, including setting over 20 Guinness World Records for cybersecurity awareness campaigns, drills, and the world's largest global cyber drills, bug bounty, and capture-the-flag competitions. Signature initiatives under H.E's leadership include the award-winning Cyber Pulse Program, Cyber Sniper, Cyber Next 50, Train the Nation, the National Youth Cyber Awareness Program, and the Cyber Bug Bounty platform driving public engagement, capacity building, and fostering a culture of cybersecurity across all sectors.
