Michael Metzler

Michael is heading the global Cybersecurity Horizontal Business within Siemens Digital Industries since October 2021. He is leading a dedicated expert team supporting our customers with end-to-end Industrial Cybersecurity solutions.

He is a passionate leader of the Digital Transformation and guiding customers along their journey to fully leverage the potential of digitalization with a focus on Industrial Cybersecurity.

Prior to his current role Michael held various leadership positions within Siemens e.g. building up and lead a new global business field for industrial identification by implementing various value streams for a successful ramp up e.g., Sales, Marketing, Portfolio Strategy, Partnering and Services. Furthermore, he took over the responsibility for driving the business development of Siemens Industrial Communication and Identification portfolio as head for global product sales development.

Michael´s academic background includes a diploma in Industrial Engineering and Management with a strong focus on manufacturing processes. He showcased his expertise in his diploma thesis on economic analysis in regards of production flexibility.

With his strong customer dedication, his experiences in digitalization as well as merger and acquisitions projects, Michael is an exceptional leader and makes him a favored speaker for conferences and industry events.
