About Marcus Carey

Marcus J. Carey is a cybersecurity veteran with over two decades of experience in offensive security, threat intelligence, and redteaming. He is the founder of Threatcare, one of the first breach and attack simulation platforms designed to help organizations test their defenses against real-world threats. After leading the company from inception to acquisition, he sold Threatcare to ReliaQuest, where his work influenced large-scale adversary simulation strategies.

Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Marcus served in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologist and later worked at the National Security Agency (NSA), where he specialized in signals intelligence and cyber operations. This background in national defense and offensive cyber laid the foundation for his mission: helping organizations think and operate like attackers.

A lifelong hacker and builder, Marcus continues to explore how vibe coding and AI are reshaping offensive security. His work bridges the gap between traditional infosec practices and the fast-moving future of cyber offense.
