Holly Knowles

Holly Knowles leads the Operational Risk & Resilience (OR&R) Culture, Training & Awareness Service at Pacific Life, where she enhances the organization's defense against digital threats through innovative training and fosters a culture of security awareness among employees. At Pacific Life, Holly's role encompasses risk culture management, employee and contractor training, simulated phishing messages, the creation of branded internal training videos and awareness materials, and the facilitation of quarterly BeSAFE awareness events.

Holly brings experience spanning security awareness, soft skills development, and incident management. Holding SSAP, GCPM, GISF, and GSTRT certifications, she applies a strong hands‑on mindset and a people‑first approach to building effective security culture. Her work is informed by a diverse professional background that strengthens her focus on communication and engagement. Now in her second year serving on the SANS Summit Advisory Board, Holly is passionate about supporting the practitioner community, fostering shared learning, and shaping meaningful, real‑world security education. She is excited to connect with peers and contribute to another engaging Summit in Las Vegas.
