About Bryan Vorndran

Bryan is a strategic advisor for SANS. He is also Vice President and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Supply Chain & Third-Party Security at Microsoft. He leads global efforts to secure the supply chain, reduce third-party risk, and ensure compliance with international standards.

Retiring in 2025 with over 20 years in the U.S. Intelligence Community, Bryan formerly led the FBI’s Cyber Division, overseeing intelligence and disruption operations against China, Russia, Iranian, and North Korean threat actors, as well as cyber criminals. 

Bryan has testified before Congress, he teaches at Johns Hopkins University, and guest lectures at top universities. He co-hosted the podcast Ahead of the Threat and holds degrees from Lafayette College and the University of Michigan.
