GIAC Enterprises (GIAC) is a fledgling e-commerce company that sells fortune cookie sayings. The direct descendants of Confucius, the ancient Chinese philosopher, founded the company 6 months ago after seeing a significant business opportunity to develop and market fortune cookie fortunes. Their e-commerce business model is a significant departure from the rest of the fortune cookie saying industry which relies on an obtuse system of paper based fortune production and distribution. GIAC has enjoyed significant interest over the past 6 months as fortune cookie manufacturers realize the benefits of ordering their fortunes over the Internet. The business has two revenue streams. The first source of revenue is the sale of fortunes through the GIAC website to fortune cookie manufacturers in English-speaking countries. The second source of revenue is from partners, which translate and resell the fortunes to international fortune cookie manufacturers.
