Contact UsI have recently transferred (on secondment) from my current firm where I work as a technology risk consultant to GIAC enterprises as IT projects manager (with a view to helping them establish a IT position on the Cookies R US board). My experience is in the general technology area with an emphasis on technology management and process improvement. I have some experience with various operating systems and have a number of year's practical experience in strategy deployment and review of security architectures. I have been handed the task of securing the site from the ground up following a number of security compromises. However business reality must take precedence over security so this means minimal funding, no resources to dedicate to getting it right and it must be done without disturbing existing operations. It is important to note that nobody can be an expert in everything, there is no value for me or my clients in being a 'Jack of all trades and master of none'. With this mind is its important to note that my expertise is not in routing nor firewall or VPN technology, but a base understanding of each. This allows me to pull the elements together to provide and enable a client to support a secure and highly available solution on an ongoing basis.
