Implementing Secure HTTP-to-HTTPS Redirection

I have found myself in the fortunate position of working for a company full of bright, hard working people. While standout individual performances are encouraged and recognized, what makes our company successful is the ability for everyone to come together as a team when a crisis happens. This paper would not have been possible without the efforts of my co-workers in the Hosting, Operations, and Security departments who provided most of the muscle during the implementation of the redirection project. It was their attention to detail and drive to meet the customer requirements that allowed this project to succeed. Special thanks go to Network Engineers Jeff Thompson, who created the original Visio diagrams that were modified for inclusion in this paper, and Darrin Wiens, who wrote the change control for the 7120 replacement. Both of them also took time out of their busy schedules to make sure I didn't misstate anything regarding the design flow.
