Cloud environments continue to grow more complex as organizations expand across multiple cloud platforms, Kubernetes, containers, APIs, serverless services, and increasingly AI-driven workloads. Yet successful cloud security still depends on getting the fundamentals right: understanding what you have, controlling access, reducing exposure, protecting workloads and data, and detecting threats before they become incidents.
The Cloud Security, Kubernetes & CNAPP Track at Cyber Solutions Fest Spring 2027 will explore the technologies, architectures, and operational practices organizations need to secure modern cloud environments at scale. Sessions will examine critical capabilities including cloud security posture management, workload and container security, Kubernetes security, identity and entitlement management, vulnerability and exposure management, data protection, runtime detection and response, application and software supply chain security, and the continued evolution of CNAPP.
Throughout the track, security practitioners and technology leaders will focus on a practical question: Which cloud security controls really matter, and how should organizations implement them without creating another collection of disconnected tools and alerts? Attendees will leave with actionable guidance for building a more integrated, risk-driven cloud security program capable of protecting today's workloads while preparing for what's next.

Cybersecurity leader Dave Shackleford combines decades of enterprise defense, cloud security, and hands-on consulting experience to help students master real-world security operations and modern threat defense.
