The advancement of AI and related technologies is resulting in an explosion of scams and social engineering techniques using deepfakes. This creates a challenge for organizations across all verticals, but especially for those for which identity verification or claims, evidence or facts are part of the value proposition. Because the security industry has yet to develop an effective suite of controls for deepfakes, most organizations reinforce their own anti-phishing/anti-social engineering process and technology capabilities and harden their credentials and authentication controls.
