Contact UsAs business applications have moved from monolithic blocks of code to distributed collaborations across multiple services, new forms of vulnerabilities have emerged and attackers have taken advantage of them. To explore this topic, SANS conducted a survey to collect information around industry practices in application security, focusing on Application Programming Interface (API) security awareness, processes, and controls.
This webcast presents the findings of that survey. SANS Director of Emerging Security Trends John Pescatore and Akamai VP Alka Malik, in addition to several Akamai customers, discuss how organizations currently (or plan to) discover APIs in use, determine whether vulnerabilities exist in the use of these APIs, and mitigate the risks posed by these vulnerabilities. They will also discuss what products survey respondents are using (commercial or open source) as well as any homegrown tools.
