Dr. Tok is currently a Senior Consultant at JT Consultancy & Management Pte. Ltd. and a Research Fellow at ASSET (Automated Systems SEcuriTy) Research Group in Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) under the Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) Pillar. He was a recipient of the SG Digital (Postgraduate) Scholarship program from Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and completed his Ph.D. in SUTD focusing on digital forensics and cybercrime on emerging technologies. His current research interests cover a broad spectrum of information security areas, including and not limited to attack detection, digital forensics, Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Before pursuing his Ph.D., Yee Ching was a Threat Hunter in WithSecure Countercept (previously known as F-Secure Countercept), a managed threat-hunting service for advanced cyber-attacks. He won the Cybersecurity Awards in 2019 under the Professional category for his contributions to the Singapore information security industry.
Yee Ching serves as a Handler in the SANS Internet Storm Center, has 13 GIAC certifications and is a SANS Lethal Forensicator. He often assists as a Teaching Assistant/Virtual Teaching Assistant (vTA) in various SANS courses and volunteers across multiple cybersecurity initiatives at the Association of Information Security Professionals (AiSP).
