Venkata Sai Kishore Modalavalasa

Venkata Sai Kishore Modalavalasa is the Chief Architect and Engineering Leader at Straiker, where he builds AI-driven security products to protect AI-native applications at scale. With over a decade of experience in cybersecurity and distributed systems, he has taken products from 0 to 1, scaling Cyberfend from startup to its acquisition by Akamai. At Akamai, he led engineering in bot detection and web security, developing advanced detection engines, building large-scale security platforms, and guiding high-performing teams. Beyond his professional roles, Mr. Modalavalasa is an active contributor to the security community. He is an OWASP author, contributing to initiatives such as the OWASP AI Exchange, AI BOM, Top 10 for Agentic Applications and Agentic AI Security. He co-leads the OWASP FinBot Agentic AI CTF, advancing research and hands-on learning in emerging AI security challenges. He holds multiple cybersecurity patents, reflecting innovation at the intersection of AI, distributed systems, and security.
