Thomas (Tom) McMahon has been working in cybersecurity for nearly 20 years, over 10 of which have focused on teaching people how to be more secure in their daily practices. His favorite portion is witnessing the “AHA” moment when somebody learns something new. Over the past few years, he’s focused on improving a Security Ambassador program using automation, intuition, and engagement.Tom not only holds CISSP, SSAP, and SCAP certifications but also a master’s degree in life experience. The 2024 Managing Human Risk Summit will be his 8th attended Summit either virtual or in-person.
Tom and his wife relocated from Massachusetts to North Carolina 3 years ago. They have three beautiful daughters, a son-in-law, 2 joyous granddaughters, and a mini-schnauzer. When he's not serving the Church, he can be found walking or biking. Otherwise, he can be found snacking and watching a movie or the New England Patriots.
