About Tatsuya Hasegawa

Tatsuya Hasegawa is a Principal Security Engineer at Sansan, Inc. with over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and holds the GIAC Security Expert (GSE) designation.

His experience spans a wide range of cybersecurity disciplines. He has worked as a managed security service developer and SOC analyst at a global MSSP, an incident handler and forensic analyst within a Japanese CSIRT, a principal threat researcher and malware analyst at a leading global AI-driven cybersecurity vendor, and an independent professional threat hunter.

Drawing on his diverse background, Tatsuya is currently focused on advancing AI-enhanced SOC and CSIRT operations at scale.

Prior to joining Sansan, he worked as an independent cybersecurity professional, delivering technical advisory services, threat hunting consulting, practitioner education, AI system development, and custom data visualization solutions. He also actively contributed to cybersecurity communities and open-source projects.

Beyond the engineering perspective, he strongly values maintaining the right balance between security and usability.

Tatsuya specializes in threat hunting, detection engineering, adversary evasion techniques, digital forensics, and incident response. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences across the Asia-Pacific region, including the SANS APAC DFIR Summit, and is passionate about sharing practical knowledge that helps practitioners strengthen their real-world defensive capabilities.
