Tammy Harper is a Senior Threat Intelligence Researcher at Flare, specializing in ransomware, cybercrime ecosystems, and the people behind them. Her research explores how threat actors build identities, form communities, establish trust, and operate across the dark web and underground cybercrime economy.

Drawing on extensive investigations into ransomware groups, affiliates, and criminal infrastructure, Tammy focuses on the human dynamics that traditional technical analysis can miss—from online personas and reputation to recruitment, collaboration, and conflict. She regularly translates this research into intelligence for defenders and into stories for conference audiences, combining deep technical investigation with an anthropological look at cybercrime.
