Sean Stalzer

Sean Stalzer is vice president–Cyber Security at Dominion Energy.

He has responsibility for designing, implementing and leading the industry leading, IT and OT cyber security program which protects the grid from hostile nation states and criminal groups. He works across the company to establish and implement cyber security policies, standards and practices to protect the company against an ever-evolving threat landscape, while overseeing the cyber aspects of Dominion Energy’s regulatory compliance programs and actively monitoring and reacting to cyber threats and malicious activity directed toward company assets. He maintains strong relationships with government, military partners, peers and key vendors to both share intelligence and obtain critical information that protects the company and shareholders from advanced persistent threats.

Stalzer came to the company in 1994 as a consultant, becoming a full-time employee in 2000. He has served in a variety of roles within IT, including manager–Risk Management and manager–IT Business Account for Electric Transmission. In 2019, he became director–Cyber Security and moved to support the establishment of the Corporate Intelligence & Security department. He assumed his current role in August 2025. He actively supports the non-profit cyber community through roles on boards at organizations such as the Cyber Guild and the Virginia Cyber Security Partnership.

Stalzer received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
