Sarah Freeman serves as Chief Engineer for Critical Infrastructure Intelligence, Strategic Effects, and Solutions (CRISES) within MITRE’s Cyber Infrastructure Protection Innovation Center. She leads research and development focused on Infrastructure Susceptibility Analysis (ISA), Cyber-Informed Engineering (CIE), and the protection of critical infrastructure from adversary-driven disruptions. Her work integrates threat intelligence, system modeling, and risk analytics to help organizations understand and mitigate cascading vulnerabilities across IT, OT, and cyber-physical systems. With extensive experience supporting the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and industry partners, Sarah’s efforts center on advancing data-driven, threat-informed approaches to infrastructure resilience, mission assurance, and national security.
