Sara Mikail

Sara Mikail is a Cyber Awareness Specialist with over 10 years of experience in cyber security, across governance, risk, compliance, and awareness. Sara started her career as a consultant in GRC, but quickly found her passion for security awareness, because it connects technology with what matters most: people.

Today, Sara is responsible for cyber awareness at Swisscard, a Swiss credit card company, where she designs engaging, people-centered security programs that go beyond traditional training. From interactive games and escape rooms to creative formats that spark curiosity, she focuses on making security visible, relatable, and memorable.

Coming from an intercultural background, having been born in Germany, now living in Switzerland, and with roots in Iraq, Sara has developed a strong understanding of how culture shapes the way people perceive and engage.

What drives her is creating a security culture where people feel seen, take responsibility, and genuinely enjoy being part of it. Security should not be a chore, but something people connect with in their daily work and everyday life as it impacts all of us.
