Preston has always been the 'tech guy' in any role he's held. When he was given the opportunity to specialize into cybersecurity, he immediately fell in love with the mission: use the technical skills I've been building his whole life to help keep people safe.

His advice to students is "SANS courses come at you hard and fast. It's normal to feel overwhelmed at first. Your success may depend on embracing study techniques and habits that are new to you. A little flexibility goes a long way. You will find a rhythm that works for you. Apart from cybersecurity, I am also very passionate about food and drink. I am always dreaming up ideas for potential food businesses and I brew mead at home."
