Oscar Cárcamo

Oscar Carcamo is a seasoned threat hunter and purple teamer with experience in the financial sector, government sector, industrial, and private sector, specializing in advanced threat detection, SIEM intelligence correlation, and proactive threat hunting. He is one of the first two Mexicans to reach the FIRST Liaison recognition. He also possesses extensive experience with Microsoft KQL, YARA-L, Splunk SPL, FQL and has successfully led numerous investigations into sophisticated cyber threats and anti-fraud strategies. 

In addition to his professional work, Oscar leads and mentors team members through a personal initiative called Hacktitud in Mexico. This project is dedicated to raising cybersecurity awareness across society, supported by professional colleagues who volunteer their time to contribute to the cause across mainly Spanish-speaking countries and Latin America.

Oscar is also pioneering innovative detection methodologies that transcend conventional log fidelity, consistently thinking outside the box to enhance threat-hunting capabilities. He is deeply passionate about pushing the boundaries of modern cyber defense and is committed to sharing cutting-edge techniques with both global and local security communities.
