Matthieu Regnery

Matthieu Regnery is a Principal Forensic Engineer at Magnet Forensics (former Grayshift) focused on providing access to data. He is a subject matter expert in Mobile Forensics, and a registered expert witness in France. Prior to joining Grayshift, Matthieu spent eight years in the French Gendarmerie as a digital forensic examiner and head of their data extraction lab. Then he joined Facebook part of their abuse team and when he left, he founded his own company to conduct examinations for justice and law enforcement.

His interest is providing access to data to serve justice, especially when encrypted, protected, or obfuscated. He enjoys diving into applications code to recover artifacts but also trying to understand how things work.
